If you loosen the shaft from the clubhead and turn it around, what happens to the markings on the grip? Will they counter rotate to be "in the right place"? Just wondering because I like to be able to look at the markings to give me a general idea of holding it correct..

I have had my R7 Quad for a couple of years now and think it is an awesome driver. The new FCT technology goes one step further in the conquest for a fully adjustable driver. I have read a few reviews on the new R9 and they have been very positive. Looking forward to my local range getting a demo driver so that I can give it a thorough testing.

Got my new R-9tp 4 days ago, On my 2nd round the head failed, (Cracked head) I play only Taylor made products Very disapointed with the quality. They said 3-4 weeks to get it replaced. Hope next one last longer.

The R9 has the Fujikura Motore 65 gram graphite shaft, while the R9 TP comes with the stiffer (2X) Fujikura Motore F1 65 gram shaft. I've got to say though that my G 10 still works better for me. Its too tempting to try diferent 'fits' to compensate for swing errors. Also not to forget that according to the Rules, you can't fiddle with the configuration when you're in the middle of a round.

I got a chance to run across the R9 this past weekend, I did not get a chance to hit it, but it's a great looking driver at a address.

I'm a Taylormade fan (loved the R5) so looking forward to testing this out soon.

Great review!
