Tiger Woods Broken Internet Hoax
Ok, so Tiger Woods' broken cheek was a hoax or internet rumor, but police said he did have a 'fat lip', so the question is did Elin hit him with the golf club or not? I guess we will never know. And more to the point who cares? Some sports bloggers listed on sports index http://www.dozensports.com are still supporting the golfer saying he deserves to listed in America's most admired of 2009. The irony is that he was listed next to Bill Clinton!

If that's true, Donna, that's a shame. Unfortunately, you may be right about athletes, but there are some who are good role models. I don't know Francoeur at all; I just liked the story.

In my past life, I did cover professional athletes in other sports, and I believe there were plenty of good role models. Kurt Warner and Lance Berkman are two good examples of today's athletes who fit the bill. My guess is Steve Stricker and the aforementioned Stewart Cink are too. Of course the one common thread between all four of these guys is their faith.

I'm not particularly religious, but guys who are truly spiritual do have a moral compass. And if you watch these guys, you'll notice that they're competitive, but they're not cursing or setting bad examples when they're on the field either.

Frenchy's a nice guy, but he definitely gets around. Athletes are *rarely* good role models.
