The new Colonial Charters Golf Club near Myrtle Beach sheds its former bad self
Down in Longs, S.C., on the north end of the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand, Ian Guerin is reporting that the former Palmetto Greens Golf & Country Club has re-opened as Colonial Charters Golf Club. The new club didn’t just get a new name, of course, but a totally new look and feel. It’s one of the more playable layouts in the area and, according to Ian, one of the most affordable as well.
There’s no shortage of golf courses in Myrtle Beach to challenge scratch golfers, but there’s always a place for an enjoyable round that’s not designed to beat up on higher-handicap, recreational golfers, and Colonial Charters is just that. New grasses, new irrigation and a revamped clubhouse contribute to the new and vastly improved experience.
