Take the Golf Channel's Morning Drive to find good deals in golf travel
If you like traveling to play golf, then you’ll want to tune into Morning Drive on the Golf Channel. Each week, Travel expert Matt Ginella and GolfNow’s Lauren Thompson spotlight some of the best deals in the country, and they’ll be doing that this weekend.
This week, Ginella is looking at the Panhandle of Florida, the Valley of the Sun and the Pacific Northwest for great deals as well as spotlighting Las Vegas with March Madness coming up.
Specifically, Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is rolling back prices to 1970 rates on its watery Links Course with green fees under $20. You can play Arizona Grand Golf Resort in Phoenix for $75 or play the host course of the 2015 U.S. Open, Chambers Bay on Puget Sound in Washington, for $109 or less. It’s also a great time to think about heading to Vegas to play any number of courses around the NCAA basketball tourney, which begins in a couple of weeks or so.
Ginella’s Las Vegas favorites include Royal Links Golf Club, TPC Las Vegas and Primm Valley Golf Club.
