Waldorf Astoria Empire Club bundles golf, spa, rooms and dining

What can you get for the golfer who has everything? How about an Empire Club package with the Waldorf Astoria Orlando resort? This new program bundles rounds of golf, spa treatments, overnight stay and resort services, which can be used for up to one year after purchase.

It’s also transferable, which means you can treat your friends and family.

“We have found that our most enthusiastic guests want to share their experiences with others,” said Peter Kacheris, managing director of Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. “For these guests, we have created a package that is rich with value but void of long-term commitments, and is flexible enough to share with family, friends and business associates.”

This is how it works: For a set price, which ranges from $3,500 to $10,000, you can so many rounds of golf, spa treatments and other services. For example, the Club Level, at $3,500 will get you 24 rounds of golf on the Rees Jones-designed Waldorf Astoria Golf Club and a dozen treatments at the Waldorf Astoria Spa by Guerlain. The highest level, at $10,000, doubles the rounds of golf and spa treatments and adds 12 dinners for four at the Bull & Bear Steakhouse, 12 room nights at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and a Platinum card, which provides complimentary valet service.

The Waldorf Astoria Golf Club course is an 18-hole, 7,108-yard championship course, and the first golf course for the Waldorf Astoria brand. Using the land’s natural contours as a canvas, Jones meticulously designed the course to reflect the world’s classic courses, some designed a century ago. Waldorf Astoria Golf Club winds through a large wetland preserve, lined with stands of towering pines and cypress trees.

It was named Golf Digest’s 2009 best new public golf course, and made Golf magazine’s list of Florida’s “Top Courses You Can Play.” The hotel, modeled after the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, features 498 guest rooms and suites with views of Disney World and the Bonnet Creek nature preserve.
