Fall is perfect time to book a golf package at TPC Sawgrass
This spring, I visited the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and got to play both the Players Stadium Course and Valley Course. Enjoyable, of course, but to tell the truth, it wasn’t exactly the best time of year to play both of those golf courses.
The Jacksonville area had come out an unusually cold winter, and because they no longer overseed the Players Stadium Course due to the later date of the Players Championship, it wasn’t exactly in top shape as the Bermuda was just coming out of dormancy.
That isn’t a problem right now. Fall in Florida is awesome, and the TPC Sawgrass will be in great shape through November until it starts to chill somewhat. And this spring there were also some renovations occurring on the Valley Course. So that course, which hosts the Nationwide Tour’s Winn Dixie Jacksonville Open in late October, is not only in great shape, but has undergone significant improvements.
Right now, you can save 35 percent on stay-and-play packages at the TPC Sawgrass and Sawgrass Marriott. The folks over there are offering three nights at the Marriott, two rounds on the Players Stadium Course and a round on Valley Course starting at $226 per player per night. The package includes some extras like a clinic, breakfast and dining credit.
