Take time out for golf at Orlando's Rosen Shingle Creek
If you’re traveling to Orlando for a conference or even a family vacation, here’s a deal that can get you to the golf course for a day, providing a break from business or Mickey Mouse. It’s called the Time Out for Golf Package, and it’s being offered at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort, which is across from the Orange County Convention Center.
Essentially, this is your opportunity to escape for day, whether it’s from a convention or a theme park. The one-night package includes lodging and a round of golf for two adults at Shingle Creek Golf Club.
Starting at around $160 for two, the deal also includes golf cart with GPS as well as range balls, club storage and tax. You could also add a one-hour lesson at the Brad Brewer Golf Academy for an additional $130. The special runs until Sept. 27.
The 7,228-yard Shingle Creek Golf Club course is an enjoyable David Harman design that makes great use of Shingle Creek, weaving in and out along the waterway. The resort has 1,500 luxury rooms, all with views of the golf course and Shingle Creek. There is also a full-service spa as well as several excellent dining options at the hotel.
