For women only: Golf school packages at DragonRidge near Las Vegas

The Nicklaus Academy at DragonRidge Country Club in Henderson, Nev., near Las Vegas is offering its unique and specially pampered “Women’s Only Experience” lesson packages.

This is a program geared entirely for women, from the way the instruction is taught to the little extras like massage and gifts that many women appreciate. It ranges from a half-day tune-up to full-blown three-day schools.

The program was designed by Kristin Sunderhaft, an LPGA member who is director of instruction for women at the Nicklaus Academy. Sunderhaft has more than 15 years of experience in coaching and improving women’s golf skills. The sessions include everything evaluations and goals setting, to reinforcing the fundamentals, improving the short game, and getting a few extra yards off the tee.

DragonRidge is a private club located in the McCullough Mountains. Designed by Jay Morrish and David Druzisky, DragonRidge consists of an 18-hole, par-72 layout that stretches to 6,975 yards.

The Women’s Only Experience at the Nicklaus Academy ranges from $100 for a single lesson to $1,995.
