Golf trip to Las Vegas in the summer? You bet
There’s never a bad time to go to Las Vegas, but if you’re looking to save a little money on golf, this might the season.
As temperatures soar, green fees typically come down, which means you can get some pretty good package deals. And if you play in the morning, it’s really not that uncomfortable (remember, it’s a dry heat).
For example, one package includes golf at Rhodes Ranch Golf Club and accommodations at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa, starting at $100 per night for Monday through Thursday. On the weekends it’s $140.
And Rhodes Ranch is a pretty good golf course. Opened in 1997, this Ted Robinson design is always in great condition. The 6,906-yard layout has water features, elevation change and great views of the mountains and the Las Vegas Strip.
The South Point Hotel is pretty cool, too. It has a 16-screen movie complex, bowling center and its own equestrian center. Recently, it added a 400-seat showroom, featuring headliner entertainment.
