Support our troops through golf in the Birdies for the Brave at the TPC Summerlin in Vegas
Here’s an opportunity for golfers who would like show their support for our troops. On July 5, the TPC Summerlin will be playing host to the 5th Annual Birdies for the Brave, a PGA Tour initiative that supports six military homefront groups.
The event will be a noon shotgun start, and players who sign up will also receive a voucher to play TPC Las Vegas at a later event. Besides playing, there are also a number of sponsorship opportunities available.
The tour, as well as its players, has raised millions of dollars since 2005. The money collected through its TPC network of courses goes to homefront groups that directly serve military men and women who have been lost or seriously injured, to the following beneficiaries: Home for our Troops, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Naval Special Warfare Foundation, Operation Homefront and Wounded Warrior Project.
Golfers will be provided a boxed lunch, and will be served a prime rib buffet dinner with an awards ceremony following play. There will also be a charity auction, with items that range from show tickets, golf merchandise, to golf at TPCs across the nation.
The cost is $800 per foursome, or $400 for a military foursome. For information on how to sign up or how to purchase a sponsorship option, click on the TPC Summerlin Birdies for the Brave homepage.
