Win a golf date with Bill Clinton, help save the environment
How much would you pay to play golf with President Bill Clinton? As of Tuesday afternoon, someone was willing to fork over nearly $30,000 for a round of golf with the president out at Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, N.Y.
The date with Clinton, and we do mean that in the purest golfing sense, is part of the inaugural Christie’s Green Auction, culminating on April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
Christie’s has joined with NBC Universal and four leading environmental organizations to form a partnership to raise awareness and funds for environmental efforts. Run by Charitybuzz, a leading destination for online charity auctions, the auction has live and online components, featuring world-renowned works of art, exotic travel packages and unique celebrity experiences, including the round of golf with the two-term president.
The estimated value of the package is set at $100,000, and the bidding closes on April 22 at 1 p.m.
The Clinton golf outing is one of several items that include celebrities: You could also win an hour tennis Lesson with John McEnroe in New York City or dine with New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and his wife Abby at Fred’s, courtesy of Barneys New York. Yankee fans might be interested in dinner for two with Yankees GM Brian Cashman, plus four tickets to a Yankees home game in the Legends Section. Or you and nine of your friends could join Mike Richter in a skybox to watch a NY Rangers game.
