They're off at the Masters: Go Padraig Harrington, Tim Clark, Quiros, Ishikawa, etc
Yeah, I know we’re supposed to be objective when it comes to watching golf tournaments, but like many of you, I’m in a big-money Masters pool at work.
My strategy was simple: Pick a bunch of dark horses, and if most of them come through, there’s no way I’ll lose.
So I passed on Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson because everybody’s going to have those guys. Besides, I figure Tiger can go one of two ways, and I’ve bet my sawbuck he gets off to a slow start.
Then again, if he’s been meditating and doing Yoga and all that Buddhist stuff, he might just soar through this thing.
Els is playing well, but he might have peaked at the wrong time. And Mickelson has looked like a guy with other stuff on his mind all year.
So I’m pulling for guys like Padraig Harrington (the lightest of my dark horses), Tim Clark, Dustin Johnson, Alvaro Quiros, Ryo Ishikawa, etc.
Got my eye on one of those new Apple iPads.
