It's not too late to book some golf this Labor Day weekend
If you haven’t made golf plans yet for Labor Day, it might not be too late. It seems it’s still a buyer’s market with a lot of courses offering specials this weekend as many parts of the country start to experience fall weather.
Several airlines are also running some deals, trying to fill seats to places like Las Vegas and New York City. And some high-end resorts and courses are offering some specials as well.
For example, Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks near Denver is offering a two-for-one special this weekend. All you have to do is call the pro shop at (970) 262-3636.
Set among towering pines and snow-capped mountains, Raven Golf Club was designed by Michael Hurdzan, and Dana Fry with PGA Tour player Tom Lehman. It was the fourth “Raven” branded course in America and remains the only Raven facility in Colorado.
Or how about $99 per person per night, including golf, this weekend at Crystal Mountain Resort in Northern Michigan? Earlier this week, the resort, which includes the Mountain Ridge Course and recently renovated Betsie Valley Course, was also offering a $50 resort credit for folks who book a package this weekend.
Crystal Mountain, led by director of golf Brad Dean and renown instructor Adam Schreiber (who teaches PGA Tour player Anthony Kim), also has one of the best golf schools in the country as well.
So check around, there are probably still some good last-minute deals if you want to play golf or take a trip this Labor Day weekend. Football can wait.
