jim ducibella [Visitor] in response to: The Club at Savannah Harbor soon to have its turn in the spotlight

My name is Jim Ducibella (jducibel@gmail.com), and I am the author of the book, “King of Clubs: The Great Golf marathon of 1938.” It is the true story of Virginia Beach-born J. Smith Ferebee who, during a career as a Chicago stockbroker, made a bet worth $100,000 in cash and Virginia Beach land that he could play 600 holes of golf over 4 consecutive days, in 8 different cities, starting in LA and ending in NY. The golf cart had not yet been invented in 1938, so to achieve this stunt, Ferebee would have to walk nearly 200 miles – and golf – over 4 days.

In addition to LA, he played in Phoenix, Kansas City, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Philadelphia and New York.

If you'd like a pdf copy of the book e-mailed to you for possible review, please contact me at the above address. I believe your readers would find it fascinating.
