Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I wanted to say that it's nice to know that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding the same info elsewhere. This was the first place that told me the answer. Thanks.

Im in the UK and have only just found out about the Nike Summo2 being non conforming, i was given driver as a gift from my wife 18 months ago, not belonging to any golf club and now wanting to enrole in one i find that i have a driver which is of no use to me whatsoever.
I believe that Nike should be honourable and replace all of the illegal golf clubs that they sold to unsuspecting customers who bought their products in good faith, my wife informs me that when she purchased my Nike Summo2 driver she paid £279 (about $550 us) and i now have to either throw it away or only use it when playing a bounce game.
Come on Nike do the decent thing by the people who purchase your goods and replace all illegal golf clubs that you sold to us as we all trusted your profesionalism.
not sure why we need to see a political statement in a golf story. if I want to read political diatribes I'll go to Daily Kos or Huffington Post

Or you could look at it this way: why risk being accused of using material with an unfair advantage when you can buy similar products that do comply with the USGA rules and specifications?

Or maybe you can look at it this way: how many golfers will return a driver that offers them an advantage, when they are not competing in USGA or any other official tournament. Your saturday foursome is not the USGA.
