ADT Skills Challenge Was a Snoozer
I was flipping through channels this last weekend and saw about 5 minutes of the ADT Skills Challenge that was won by the Normans (Greg and his son Gregory). Was this thing really on for two hours?
Oh boy, what a snoozer. It was like watching someone hitting balls at the driving range. Sure professional players hit some impressive shots, but that is what they get paid to do. There were so few people on the course (perhaps it was closed to the public), the number of media types, caddies and hangers on probably numbered only about 50 people.
It was kind of charming that the pros were paired with their caddies, but to spend two hours watching aged professionals hit balls is a bit boring to say the least. Can’t wait until the season gets started again.

Unless, of course, they invited me to give it a go!
Move over Greg, Rocco!
Having said that, it's a silly season event and has to be viewed in that light. Like anything else, you either like such things or you don't. I watch it, and, although it wasn't the most exciting event to come down the pike, I found it captivating enough (then again, I was watching it while doing some work).
