Caddie Opens Mouth, Inserts Foot

Steve Williams is a rich man. He got that way by carrying the bag for the world’s greatest golfer, ever. As a result, he’s also probably the world’s richest caddie. So what does Tiger’s bag man do, he opens his mouth and inserts his foot. He disses probably the world’s second most popular golfer and calls him an ?$*&.

Why is that necessary? I’m sure that Phil can be an ?$*& at times. I’m sure Tiger can be that way too. Does it make Mr. Williams feel better and will it get him more endorsements? People call November and December the silly season. Perhaps because Tiger has been idle for so long, its made Mr. Williams a bit cranky.

All Stevie did was put into words what most guys on tour think about Phil. I think the guy should be comended for his honesty, not ondemned for not being PC enough for all the dogooders of the world.

First of all, you don't KNOW that most guys on tour think that Phil is a p--ck. Second, while you are entitled to think whatever you want, Steve's comments are ridiculous and public. It's the public part that makes it wrong.

Steve seems to expect Phil to "show him some respect". Just what overt act would a caddy - hired help - expect from a player - one with the talent?

Tigers public response is weak, Phil's was perfect. Williams is a tool and owes a public apology.

You're either a good golfer or not, or somewhere in between. Based upon Mickelson's stats and comparing him to the rest of the field, he's a great player.

Let us not forget the what the tour players have nicknamed Mr. Mickelson,"FIGJAM". Which means F*** I'm Great Just Ask Me. Horray to Steve, He only expressed what appears to be a common feeling of Mr. Michelson on tour.
