I wasn't too happy with my play that day, although I shot a 75 yesterday. Not that I played well during this round either, but my short game was excellent and my putting
good.

As far as Saxon Woods goes, I didn't notice that much of a difference between the two nines -- nothing that strikes me, anyway. Somtimes, though, such differences can be due to the different topography of the nines.

How did you play aside from that shot? It's better to remember the good ones and forget the ones that you really either had no control over (you know, crummy conditions).

I think Maple Moor is a little less difficult than Saxon Woods. I prefer Saxon because you need to shape your shots more and use the driver less. Sometimes I believe that Saxon was designed by two different people. Did you ever notice that the front plays and feels different than the back?

I just played Maple Moor today, Stacy, and, not surprisingly, the conditions do leave much to be desired. I mis-clubbed and hit a well hit iron into the right hand bunker on fifteen, and it ended up not only plugged but also 1 1/2 inches below the surface. Ridiculous.

Brandon, I think that since Mr. Trump reads worldgolf.com blogs, we should put that question to him. Mr. Trump, could you please issue Barry & I press passes for the HSBC event if it is approved?

My hometown used to have a huge art fair every July. People came from all over, streets closed, everything was full, couldn't find a parking space anywhere, etc. There's little novelty in a big event year after year for a local, I agree. Most of us just went on a little road trip that week - or made money parking cars on our lawns. Think you can negotiate a press pass this time with Trump?
PS...not all of Briarcliff Manor are ritzy homes and wealthy folk. Look at both Rte 9 and 9A and you'll know what I mean. Even some of the homes surrounding Trump's course are decent but not exceptionally expensive.

I'm one of the few women on that course that can play...hee, hee. My handicap is currently a 15.1, and I haven't made any strides recently to lower it. I can't get out of work...my business is right down the road but I just can't leave!

I love Saxon Woods and play there more often than Maple Moor. Maple Moor is in terrible condition. I playted twilight there last week and it was brown and dry in some areas and muddy in others.

Well, well, I play Maple Moor as well. I've probably seen you there. I also play Saxon Woods and Mohansic on occasion.

As far as these businesses go, one tournament a year won't do much to keep an under-capitalized establishment afloat.
