Michelle Wie is again providing drama ( and attention for the LPGA )with her split from the William Morris agency.

What's the odds on her signing with IMG ?

I'm surprised that Wm Morris Agency didn't offer Wie the moon to stay with them now that she's a full-blown member of the LPGA and getting the full attention of the Golf Channel during event coverage.

I have often wondered if the William Morris agency was Michelles choice or $$ daddies $$ choice.
I was surprised that they chose them over IMG considering the close ties that Leadbetter has to IMG.

It's been a strange 4+ year ride for Michelle and golf fans.

I suspect they chose WM over IMG because Michelle wasn't a pro golfer at the time. She was marketed across Asia as a amateur phenom. For the past so many years you couldn't pick up an Asian paper without a page or double page ad with her in it. WM doesn't even handle sports figures, they do stars. Of course MW didn't chose WM, she was a Soph/Jr. @Punahou at the time, would you have been able to make that decision?
