And baby makes FOUR including Tiger Woods, Elin and Sam!
Elin is pregnant once again, proving to skeptics that life is great for the world’s number-one golfer sans golf.
No pressures of the FedEx Cup (Vijay Singh seems to have this series of events wrapped up anyway), the Ryder Cup (Team USA is going to unify thanks to his respite) or any of the final tournaments of the season which might have commanded his attention. Nope! The knee injury was perfect timing to work on building the nest. Tiger Woods has considered himself an only child despite having a step-family and has always wanted more than one child whereas Elin has a twin sister.
Obviously, Tiger is taking his siesta seriously as word has it that Elin is due in late winter. The baby won’t hamper his 2009 PGA Tour season either. Woods’ schedule is clear, according to his website, until further notice.
Congratulations to the happy couple.

Ladies and gentlemen I'm going to make a statement and answer no questions. Earlier this year I wanted to take a break from golf. Consulting my advisors it was agreed I couldn't just say I'm not playing anymore this year after the U.S. Open. We decided a fake injury was the only way. There isn't anything wrong with my knee and never has been. I want to explain why I wanted to take this time off. The plain truth is the PGA Tour cannot survive in its present form without me which has become obvious this year but I'm not compensated in the same way that other high profile athletes are. When I play in Asia or the Middle East I receive 3 million for playing plus any prize money I win. So if the purse is 5 million plus my 3 million the total purse is 8 million. On the PGA Tour if I win a tournament I may get 1.35 million while the other guys divide up the rest. And I may not win and only get a few hundred thousand. So in a very good year maybe I win 10 million. What I want is 50 million a year for playing plus whatever prize money I win. This can easily be done by reducing the prize money in the events I play in by about 3 million to around 5 million. It would be no problem to get this done by playing around the world instead of on the PGA Tour. I don't need more money for myself or my family but I have foundations and programs for young people and I want to make a difference in this world and the things I want to do cost money. This makes economic sense for TV and the sponsors.
