Two peas in a pod (cast). Golf for Beginners interviewed by the Journal News.

It’s time for a bit of shameless self-promotion.

Our Golf for Beginners podcast was recognized today by the Journal News in a newspaper article entitled, “High Tech: Internet unleashes a showcase of creativity”.

In response to a growing interest in this new media, we were selected as one of three up-and-coming podcasters in the New York area.

We’re not your typical golf show. Instead of weekly servings of PGA and LPGA tour news, we enjoy filling our podcast with real life adventures on the golf course and tips associated with our experiences. We try to allow our readers and listeners to live our golf life along with us with our usual dose of husband and wife banter. That regular exchange lends itself to some challenging scenarios to say the least!

Our most recent Golf for Beginners episode touches on my recent reaction when the Journal News photographer clicked away as I was swinging my driver but, alas, those pics made the cutting room floor (whew).

I would also like to correct Mr. Garcia regarding an error in his article. In it he states “public feedback to their podcast includes about 1,000 subscribers and e-mails from around the world.” As of today our podcast has nearly 2,000 dedicated weekly subscribers who receive it automatically through iTunes or through syndicators of RSS feeds (such as Podnova or My Yahoo) in addition to several thousand additional readers who stop by to read our weekly blogs on WorldGolf.com

Stay tuned as Golf for Beginners takes the world by storm. You might one day catch us on the celebrity golf tour!

I can dream, can’t I?
