Future HOF pitcher Greg Maddux Plays in the 2009 World Series of Golf

Although some may know Greg Maddux from his 20-year baseball career, recently, he tried his luck at a different sport. Sponsored by LasVegasGolf.com, Maddux participated in the World Series of Golf held May 11-14 at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.

Maddux has had stints on several major teams including the Cubs, Braves, and Dodgers, but none of it provided preparation for this unique tournament that combines golf with Texas Hold ‘Em.

Maddux - who knows a thing of two about golf in Las Vegas - says about the event, “It was like nothing I’ve ever played before … it certainly makes you think over every shot.”
