Alex Cejka leads Verizon; Sergio Garcia apologizes for Masters comments

Friday April 17, 2009 | 05:17:26 am 137 words, 43630 views

Alex Cejka carded a 7-under-par 64 yesterday to lead the Verizon Heritage. Cejka, who missed more than three months of action on the PGA Tour last year after neck surgery, leads Lee Janzen by a stroke. Trevor Immelman is two shots back …

Meanwhile, Sergio Garcia has apologized for negative comments he made about August National following the Masters

“Following my final round at the Masters, I made comments in an interview that I regret and want to apologize for,” he told the media Monday. “Out of frustration, I blamed the golf course instead of putting the blame where it belongs, on myself.”

After finishing tied for 38th Sunday, Garcia said he didn’t like Augusta National, calling it “too tricky.”

It's good that in the long run he admitted he has been wrong! Not each of us can do it, moreover - in public.

We have to admit - he was great and he hasn't to apologize - it's always a big stress.

Sergio Garcia is a good player. Things happen - sometimes all the stars fail... it's absolutely naturally.
