I have had the pleasure of playing both the Desert Pines and the Royal Links courses. The Desert Pines course is a very tight shorter but challenging course. Stay out of the pine needles. Royal links is a european style links course. you have to use a caddie on this course. Be prepared to tip another $ 50.00 in addition to your green fees. Expensive but worth it.
