Ji-Yai Shin won the Ricoh Women’s British Open Sunday by three strokes after closing with a 6-under-par 66. Playing in her last major, Annika Sorenstam finished with a birdie and a total of 282 to tie for 24th …

“I’m going to miss it, no doubt about it,” Sorenstam told the media. “To finish with a birdie was special. There didn’t seem to be any doubt it was going in.”

Vijay Singh earned his 32nd PGA Tour title Sunday at the World Golf Championship, giving him the most victories by an international player. Singh closed with a 2-under 68 to hold of Lee Westwood and Stuart Appleby. Phil Mickelson gave up a one-shot lead on Sunday with three bogeys on his final four holes …

Meanwhile, Eduardo “El Gato” Romero earned the U.S. Senior Open title Sunday, becoming the second Argentine to win the silver cup …

“This is very important, very important because we’re working hard for golf in Argentina,” Romero told reporters. “I’m back to Argentina with this cup! It’s mine!”

Another South Korean wins another major! Yawn.

Why doesn't Michelle drop David "gravy train" Leadbetter, take a one year sabbatical and attend one of the golf schools in South Korea. She speaks the language and would learn how to handle pressure.

The Canadian Open will play 1000 yards shorter than the Reno-Tahoe course. Of course, Michelle will be hitting fairway woods on every par 4 and par 5 while everyone else will be hitting driver and short irons. If she could ever get the driver under control, then she would be a viable threat to the other LPGA players. I can not count how many times she has "choked" during the final nine holes on the LPGA & the PGA in the past. Maybe this time in Canada all will change...we'll see.
