In another corner of the world Darren Clarke’s win was equally special and definitely far more absorbing. After a couple of three putts all the people were talking about the fact that a three putt from a distance of 30 feet was no next to impossible looking at the way Darren Clarke was finishing his round. But no one gave him a chance to drain that putt and that is exactly what he did. As Dominic Boulet put it, “ it was a grandstand finish for Darren Clarke”.
