Parnevik shoots 61 in Texas; Pat Hurst, Park tied for LPGA lead; Trip Kuehne gets his win
Jesper Parnevik overcame an opening bogey to birdie eight of the next 11 holes on his way to a scorching opening-round of 61 at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio. Parnevik holds a four-shot lead over a logjam of players at 5-under, including Justin Leonard and Robert Gamez. Last week’s winner, Chad Campbell is five shots off the pace. …
