Garcia holds two-shot lead at British Open, while Tiger is seven shots back

Sergio Garcia held on to the lead at the British Open Friday, shooting an even-par 71 at Carnoustie. He is two shots ahead of K.J. Choi.

“I was hoping for a little better than what I did,” Garcia told reporters. “But that was not a bad round. Every time you shoot on a difficult course … an under-par or even-par round, you know you’re not too far away.”

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is seven shots off the lead, and Phil Mickelson missed the cut for the second straight time in a major.
