Golfer survives encounter with one-eyed alligator

A man who lost his ball in a water hazard at the Lake Venice Golf Club yesterday was attacked by an alligator when trying to retrieve it. An 11-foot, one-eyed alligator grabbed the arm of Bruce Burger, 50, and pulled him into the water when the golfer reached down to pull his ball from the pond, according to authorities.
