Bell honored with 2007 PGA First Lady of Golf Award; USGA approves new Nike drivers
Peggy Kirk Bell has been honored as the recipient of the 2007 PGA First Lady of Golf Award. “It was a bit of a surprise and quite an honor,” Bell said, according to The Fayetteville Observer. “They tell me it’s the highest honor the PGA gives to a woman.”
The U.S. Golf Association yesterday signed off on new Nike drivers that will replace some of its Sumo Squared Drivers, which the company issued a voluntary recall for because a small percentage of the club heads don’t conform to the sport’s rules.
