Tiger Woods still on top in Japan while Annika Sorenstam misses cut at ADT

Tiger Woods struggled to a 72 but maintained his hold on the lead at the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan. Woods will go into the final round tied with European Order of Merit winner Padraig Harrington.

Annika Sorenstam missed a cut for only the sixth time in 250 LPGA starts, as she shot a 72 to miss the final 16 at the ADT Championship. Lorena Ochoa, Juli Inkster and Morgan Pressel were the players to sneak into weekend play after a six-way tie needed a playoff to resolve who will play Saturday at Trump International. Jim Thorpe of the Champions Tour leads the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational, an event that features 81 players from the four major tours, plus mini-tour players and club pros. A Champions Tour entrant has never won the long-running event.

At least Dot Wong gets her facts right. Like when she said Michelle
Wie will be playing her 4th Sony Open next January, and that she
is now 0 for 6 at making the cut on the PGA.

Tim got all ythis garbled when he said Michelle was going for 0 for 4
at the Sony and 0 for 6 overall.
