Tiger Woods surged back into contention at the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai today with an 8-under 64 to match the course record. Woods had a lackluster opening round yesterday, shooting an even-par 72, but is now within two shots of leader Jyoti Randhawa …

Randhawa surprised the field yesterday by taking the early lead with a 65. Today, he shot a 69 to bring him to a 10-under total 134. Retief Goosen of South Africa is in second place and European star Padraig Harrington is at 7-under.
