Saturday October 14, 2006 | 09:13:47 pm 151 words, 1644 views

Annika Sorenstam moved one step closer to a third consecutive victory at the Samsung World Championship, carding a 66 to pull to a three-shot lead over Lorena Ochoa heading to the final round. A victory for Sorenstam would give her 70 in her illustrious career.

Sophie Gustafson is in third place, followed by Stacy Prammanasudh at the tourney, held at Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif. Paula Creamer, who entered the third round in a tie for first, fell six shots off the pace and is tied for fifth along with Cristie Kerr and Sherri Steinhauer. Teen Michelle Wie sits 14 shots off the lead after shooting her second successive round at par …

D.A. Points took the lead into the third round of the Frys.com Open, but Daniel Chopra shot a third-round 64 to add his name to a crowded third-round leaderboard that also includes Ben Crane, Charley Hoffman and Aaron Baddeley.

Yep.... Julie shot -7 and MW shot +3. This must be tough for the WieFan
proclaimed best women's golfer to finish at +5 in 17th place. Wasn't she supposed
to "dominate" the players on the LPGA when they were competing in the same
event?????? I think the WieFans need to rethink their goals... Ghet Rheel, where
are your words of wisdom????
