Tiger Woods says PGA Tour streak still alive; New golf channel to tee off

Tiger Woods said yesterday that his PGA Tour winning streak is still alive because the two events he lost since winning the Deutsche Bank Championship in September for his fifth consecutive victory were on the European Tour. He said he is going for his sixth consecutive win at the American Express Championship, which starts today …

A European international sports broadcaster is launching a golf channel in cooperation with the PGA Tour next year. Setanta Golf will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week starting January 2007.
