Eric Axley wins first PGA Tour event; Webb fights off surging Sorenstam to take LPGA Longs Drug Challenge

Eric Axley won his first PGA Tour title Sunday at the Texas Open, shooting a 1-over 71 in the last round. Axley, 32, had never finished higher than tied for 24th in a tour event …

Karrie Webb shot a final round 2-under 70 to win the Longs Drug Challenge at Blackhawk Country Club yesterday. The Aussie went into the final round with a five-stroke lead over the pack, but Annika Sorenstam came back from a six shot deficit to force Webb to save par on the last hole.
