Europe retains Ryder Cup with whipping of U.S. team

Sunday September 24, 2006 | 11:22:02 am 93 words, 1470 views

In the end it was never in doubt, as the European team easily turned their 10-6 lead into a victory in singles, winning six of the first eight matches, to win the 2006 Ryder Cup and maintain their hold on the trophy which they’ve now won five of six times.

With four matches still to play as of this posting, Europe holds an insurmountable 16-8 lead

Tiger Woods and Stewart Cink scored the only early singles victories for the U.S., which saw three of its four Ryder Cup rookies go down to defeat on Sunday.

Although I am happy Europe won (being English), but I wanted it to be closer. In the end it had all the tension of a major when Tiger is leading in the final round. I really don't know why the US team didn't do that well, to be honest, it looked more closer in all the fourballs/somes than it was.

What good is this post? Dat Wang doesn't ask a question, just types out stuff we already know. Nor does she provoke a response. Awful. Does she take the awful pictures that are also on this web site?
