Sorenstam won't play in LPGA Morelia Championship; Indian golf tour to start a week late

Annika Sorenstam said yesterday that she will not compete in next month’s LPGA Morelia Championship because she doesn’t want to get burned out after playing a busy schedule this year. Sorenstam said, though, that she is excited about her upcoming Skins match against Lorena Ochoa in Acapulco …

The 2006-2007 professional golf tour in India will be postponed by one week, promoter Tiger Sports Marketing announced yesterday. The first event was scheduled for Sept. 20.
