Canada loses a golf legend in Balding, future of Ross course in Detroit uncertain
One of Canada’s most storied names in golf, Allan Balding, died Sunday after a long bout with cancer. Balding was the first Canadian to win a PGA Tour event.
The Donald Ross-designed Rackham Golf Course in metro Detroit is up for sale, and local officials don’t want it to end up in the hands of developers.
