My wife and I, and another couple are going to Scotland and Ireland in July '07 as part of a Perry Golf trip. We have tee times for the Old Course @ St. Andrews and Jubilee in Scotland, and Old Head and Ballybunion in Ireland. We have a day or so in Glasgow prior to the golf, and some time around Kilarney and Co. Cork in Ireland. Can anyone reply as to things you would recommend we do or see? We also have tickets for the last two days of the British Open at Carnoustie. Any comments would be welcomed, or if you know of another web site that we could visit to get feedback... Thanks

Just the emntion of Scotland sets my mind & heart to racing. I long for the day when I make my return trip. When near Edinburgh, I hope you are able to spend some time playing in East Lothian. Beside the notiously hard-to-get-on Muirfield, neighboring Gullane No. 1 and North Berwick are must-plays. And if you're a real history buff, you'll want drop by 9-hole Musselburgh which held 6 Open Championships in the 1800's (they played the course 4 times to total 36 holes). The course is in the middle of a horse racetrack! Across the street there is a nice clubhouse to share a pint, but with upstairs museum too. Oh, you lucky dog, I can't wait to hear of your exploits.

Brandon, never write about anything again that will incite Gordon Stratherford to react as viciously as he did. Heavens, the man's a felon. At the same time, you lucky prick, have fun in Scotland while the rest of us are engaging in something that passes for work. In my dreams, the ball clangs off the flagstick, buries in the bunkers under a rake, while a woman hanging clothes taunts me from that big house in the middle of the course.
