New amateur scramble event comes to the Strip: Las Vegas Par-Am at Bali Hai Golf Club
For golfers looking for a Las Vegas splurge this summer, the Strip is getting a brand new golf tournament for amateurs: the first annual Par-Am, staged at Bali Hai Golf Club.
Slated for a 1 p.m. shotgun start on Saturday, August 13th, the tournament is a four-man scramble format, played on the wide, palm tree-lined fairways of Bali Hai. Beyond the ideal location just south of Mandalay Bay, it’s a course that seems perfect for an amateur scramble with opportunities for big drives on a lot of holes, plus firm, smooth greens to roll in putts.
Each group will be accompanied by one of the fine Parmates of Walters Golf. Groups will choose between one of these ladies during a pre-tournament auction that Saturday.
To go with the Parmates and two nights at the MGM Grand are more extra perks: VIP passes to nightclubs Studio 54 and Tabu, as well as MGM’s Ultra Pool, Wet Republic. Competitors will be transferred between the MGM and Bali Hai via limo service. Golfers will also compete for a number of on-course prizes.
Entry into the Las Vegas Par-Am is $295 per golfer and is limited to the first 144 entries. Complete or incomplete teams are welcome to sign up. Click here for more details.
