The USGA has an ad with the women golfers saying "I play like a girl." I think one of the golf companies should have an ad with guys saying "I wish I could play like a girl." Paula Creamer's win really inspired me also. My question is why there was not more coverage before, during and after her win?

I hope her thumb keeps healing. I belive she's got what is sometimes called Gamekeeper's Thumb, and it's something I have fought since dislocating my thumb playing basketball in high school. Takes a LONG time to heal, and is tender pretty much for life. I first talked to her when she was still an amateur at the 2004 US Women's Open--an absolute sweetheart, who padded out to the practice green barefoot after the 2nd round all alone and was perfectly happy to chat for 15 min with a random media guy (me). I've been a fan ever since (and so is my 11-year-old daughter).

But she still stuck around to answer some questions from me, put a smile on her face and signed autographs for about 15 minutes.

Brandon,
Michelle has not learned anything since she has been playing on the LPGA. Evidently, after her second round, she dissed all of the little girls who had been waiting a long time to get her autograph. Once again she is either getting poor advice or she is acting like a spoiled brat. She is on the fast track to self destruction!

George, the" Wie Warrior" Warrior! I just missed Paula signing autographs in Houston. My friend wanted to go to the practise range and while there, Paula signed autographs at the club house for 15 minutes. On the other side of the coin, Michelle acted like a rock star and her caddy acted like her agent. She signed a couple of autographs and then was rushed away for a photo op. She quit after one round claiming that her ankle was still sore since she sprained it four weeks before. As I mentioned earlier that Alexis is 15 going on 20 while Michelle is 20 going on 15. Have a nice day.

“One of those days where nothing goes as planned,’’ Wie said. “My irons were good. My wedges were good. I just need to put it in the fairways so I can hit them.’’

Her irons and wedges were spectacular on the driving range!

George, I do not love to bash Michelle. I probably have more autographs from her than you do. I must congratulate you on your last post since you worked very hard to make your point. I have been following her for the past five years and yes, I am disappointed that she has not lived up to the expectations of the media. It is interesting to do a comparision of Paula and Michelle. One positive and one negative on their path to success. Yes, Michelle did win in Mexico, however, Paula did not play as well as she usually does the last five holes. So, I am now a "Pink Panther Warrior" and the "Wie Phenom" is on the back burner.
