Hootie & the Blowfish Monday after the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am coming back to TV this week
After all the high tension at the PLAYERS Championship this weekend, it’s time for some more light-hearted golf action.
The Hootie & the Blowfish Monday after the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am is coming back to television this week. And while there will be plenty of big names, including some PGA Tour players like Jim Furyk and John Daly, the atmosphere is decidedly goofier.
I’ve attended the event twice at the Barefoot Resort Dye course, and saw Dan Marino hit a Happy Gilmore-style running drive, while musician/Road Trip Myrtle Beach alum Josh Kelley generally hams it up on just about every shot for the crowd. The event, which features a long drive competition and concert at the House of Blues afterwards, has all been edited down for TV.
You can catch the action Tuesday, May 11th at 8 pm on the Golf Channel, or watch clips on GolfChannel.com.
