Enough with The Hangover: Here's how to do a real Las Vegas buddy trip - and with golf
Every man needs a vacation once in awhile - whether it’s a bachelor party ala “The Hangover” or just to get away from work for a long weekend with good buddies.
While “The Hangover” took the popular mancation premise and shredded it with a lot of stereotypes, kicks to the groin and useless, good-luck-getting-on-the-Caesar’s-Palace-roof-or-partying-with-Mike-Tyson moments, it showed that Las Vegas and buddy trips are still a lightning rod for attraction.
One other complaint about the movie is the foursome didn’t touch a golf club, which is a major party foul, considering there’s few things better in life than ripping on your good buddies - and golf affords countless moments for this.
Over the holidays, we posted a feature on the art of the golf mancation at LasVegasGolf.com. Click here to check it out: Drumming up the ideal golf mancation in Las Vegas.
We’ve suggested a few spots to scope the chicks, play poker and get a good cut of steak. Of course, we’ve also listed a few mancation-friendly golf courses, ranging from Bali Hai Golf Club (for its convenience and splurge factor) to more cost-effective downtown courses like Las Vegas National - or even some lighted par 3 golf right on the strip should you have some novice golfers in the group at the Callaway Golf Center.
My hope is that you’ll actually get some pointers out of the article if you’ve never done the Vegas golf or nightlife scene. Whether or not you lose a tooth, total your Benz or elope with a hooker is up to you.
