Win free golf at Pinehurst (including No. 2) for a year: part of resort's new unlimited golf package

So I’m enjoying an order of buffalo wings and a soda following my first round here in Myrtle Beach this week when I come across a giveaway that makes me blow Cherry Coke out my nose:

The Pinehurst Resort is giving away free golf on any of their courses for a year as part of their new Unlimited Golf Package offer for 2009. Here’s the skinny on what you win and how to enter:

From now through May 31, golfers from around the globe can enter the resort’s spring sweepstakes to win unlimited golf at Pinehurst for a year. Golfers can register now at Pinehurst.com/sweepstakes, for the prize that includes unlimited golf for the winner and a friend on any of Pinehurst’s eight golf courses – including the famed No. 2, site of the 2014 U.S. Open. Valid from June 1, 2009 to May 30, 2010, the prize also includes exclusive benefits when staying at Pinehurst, visiting the spa and enjoying its many amenities.

Now, if I won this package, I would in all likelihood close up shop here in Austin, sublet my apartment, and find myself a little bedroom near the resort and live in for the year. I would tee it up every single day and by the time my package is expired, I would no doubt be a master of Donald Ross’ crowned greens - or I’d be a shattered player with nary an ounce of confidence in my wedge play.

I’m not going to enter, because I want to give my loyal readers a shot at the big prize (and lord knows I play enough free golf already). But if you’re just interested in Pinehurst’s new Unlimited Golf Package, which automatically upgrades all single-round packages ($515 per night) from March 8th thru May 30th to unlimited golf packages, click here.
