Merchandise show in Orlando amazing. . .I think

The Annual PGA Merchandise Show was held last week in Orlando.

My invitation must have been lost in the mail though, no worries, guys. I can only wonder of the new products expected to infect— I mean bless the golf market over the coming year.

Then again, I understand why they felt they could go about their business without me. I haven’t bought a new club in four years (basically I play with my clubs until they’re so worn down I start whiffing because a hole has been worn right through the sole), meaning I’m probably not the demographic they’re looking for to hype up the dozens of “Next Big Things".

While thousands scattered around the convention center boasting their product or deniouncing another, here’s what was front page in my noggin this weekend:

$ Will golf for free $ Anyone who has been to Tallahassee knows there’s a bit of a transient problem – drifters who meander along I-10, usually with “God Bless, homeless” signs. But one wise soul realized its all about catching the eye, in fact, he must have a few marketing classes under his belt. His sign read: “Saving up for a hooker". 20 minutes later he was gone, and I assume he was having a very exciting seven minutes.

Atta boy Justin: Big win at the Bob Hope for my favorite underdog. He had a few good weeks last year, and it’s always good to see the little guy win big.

I had a dream I went to a hot dog stand in town and John Daly was serving up weiners. I’m a little vexxed as to the meaning.

I was reading Dave Barry’s blog, which defines “blog” as such: “We would define the term “blog” as “a complete waste of time.” This is also how we would define the terms “hobby,” “customer service” and “United States Congress.”

I still say Darko Milicic wasn’t a waste of a draft pick. Companies are missing out on getting him to endorse stuff while he’s still cheap. Quite cheap, may I add. Which brings me to. . . .

The new Nike Commercial is quite stunning, and Tiger-less. What, golfers can’t be warriors? Is it that farfetched? His mask, you ask?? I’d try and draft up some sort of catapult, thus depicting the strength and power of his swing. Or it’d be a Tiger. Either one.
