World Golf Rankings vs. BCS

Thursday November 18, 2004 | 02:05:35 121 words, 1203 views

The BCS is at it again, with a computer producing inconclusive results and a lot of angry sports media. And you know what? Maybe the World Golf Rankings could learn a thing or two.

When Vijay Singh took over Tiger’s post as the golf world’s #1, where was the outrage? Where were columnists screaming at the system? Have you ever seen what goes into these world golf rankings? Its mind-boggling.

But the biggest difference? No writer polls involved! Hmmm. . .might this be a coincidence? Well, lets make golf interesting and develop a more erroneous system. Hey, at least it’ll give us more to talk about in the in the off-season than Tiger’s honeymoon.

Stay tuned to BadGolfer.com for the full column. . .
