Tuesday April 24, 2007 | 12:00:40 pm 226 words, 3617 views

It is with much excitement that I come before all of you to announce the winner of Golf Blogger Survivor II. After all the votes were counted, and after a stellar comeback by Deep Rough and an impressive showing by London Golfer, it wasn’t enough to stop the champion.

Andrew at OobGolf.com is the Golf Blogger Survivor II Champion!!

Golf Blogger Survivor Champion

For winning, Andrew receives the above logo, as well as the admiration and adoration of his peers. His work and readers spoke loudest, and he was unstoppable in his usage of Secret Words.

So congratulations to Andrew and OobGolf.com, and thatnks to all of you who played this year. We dealt with schadenfreude to pull ourselves out of the sarcophagus to come out looking like creamy nougat, even though we all suffered from anatidaephobia. And we are better for it.
So let me give a final hat tip to the contestants:

OobGolf
Deep Rough
Golf Logic
London Golfer
Travelling Golfer
GolfNow
My Daily Slice
Ron Mon
The Aspiring Golfer
The Golf Girl
Golf Noise

Again everyone, thanks for playing! I enjoyed this fun little game and I hope you did, as well. So one final word of congratulations to Andrew at OobGolf.com and all our Survivors, and a reminder to keep an eye out for Golf Blogger Survivor III! And, as always:

Keep Blogging!!

First, I'd like to thank my wife. Without her none of this would be possible.

Also- Jesus.

And finally my fans. Without you, projects like oobgolf wouldn't happen. You're the reason for the typing.

(wow- that was really easy. I hope those celebs don't actually PAY people to write that garbage.)

Seriously though- thanks Heather, you did an awesome job.

Congratulations to Andrew at Oobgolf! And commisserations to all the other spunky young bloggers who took part. I would have voted for you, but I'm lazy and egotistical, so my big head kept getting in the way.

Thanks for letting me join in Heather, I had a lot of fun playing. Or I would have done, had I won. Which I clearly should have done, if it wasn't for thos pesky kids.

Don't know what to do now without my weekly words. Guess I'll have to email myself words, or start writing about golf again.

Anyway Spank you WorldGolf, spank you all very much.

Thanks Heather ...for all the hard work this contest must have required ...I imagine you're quite glad to have it over with for another year.

...And congratulations Andrew. You worked really hard too. Glad it paid off. (I might need to borrow that logo one of these days.)
