A Masters run amok: Golf bloggers have their say
With the 2007 Masters being quite unlike any we’ve witnessed with scores going through the roof, some of our favorite golf bloggers have had a lot to say. Here’s what’s going on in the golf blogosphere:
Geoff Shackleford has been all over Augusta, live blogging the event. Here are his Sunday Press Clippings of the Masters.
Miranda at Even Par Round thinks this Masters has been like a John Steinbeck novel: “Very boring and very long and you can only think ‘gee they need to end this, I have a load of laundry to put in the washer.”
The Golf Blogger hopes those in charge of the Masters are pleased with themselves for the carnage they’ve created.
The Armchair Golf Blogger says he wants his old Masters back, while Ron Mon is missing the birdiefest that was once the Spring thing.
Bill Wolfrum says Tiger Woods is the obvious pick now, while The Bogey Lounge thinks Woods is ready to pounce. But the PGA Punter says to hold your bets.
Tim McDonald says Augusta has become unfair to players that can’t smack 350-yard drives.
The Travelling Golfer bemoans the lack of excitement at Augusta.
Robert Thompson lets you in on what former champ Mike Weir’s thinking about the tough play.
And finally, Beverly Fergusson says that to understand the Masters, you need to understand Bobby Jones.
Enjoy what should be a wild final round everyone, and Keep Blogging!!
