Arnold Palmer inspires golf bloggers to tee up some legendary posts

Wednesday March 14, 2007 | 12:53:47 pm 229 words, 2905 views

With a living legend hosting the PGA Tour’s next event, some golf bloggers are showing off some legendary posts of their own.

In honor of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, it’s Arnold Palmer Week over at the Armchair Golf Blog. Coming this week will be a look back at Palmer’s career and an interview with the USGA about the Arnold Palmer Center for Golf History, among other Palmer-inspired blogs.

Of course, WorldGolf.com’s own Bill Wolfrum wonders whether soon all PGA events will have a host.

What will it cost to play the best golf courses in Scotland? Well, The Golf Blogger takes a look at the book “A Season in Dornoch : Golf and Life in the Scottish Highlands” and finds out that it’s $4,000. Of course, you can always take a look at GolfEurope’s comprehensive look at golfing in Scotland if you want to play the best for less.

There’s a new golf community near Austin, Texas and Bogey McDuff at Texas Golf tells you all about it, and shares a couple spectacular photos of the course.

Finally, a note to the Golf Blogger Survivors: I e-mailed you all the “secret word” but some of you have noticed that my e-mail was sent to your spam folder (how humiliating). So take a look in that folder and get my e-mails back to your regular inbox, if you will.

Keep Blogging!!
