Golf blogger survivor

After a successful first season of Golf Blogger Survivor, we’re ready to bring it back for more.

Yes, it was about a year ago that Golf Chick was crowned as the winner of the first Golf Blogger Survivor. Now, we’re ready to line up contestants again and see who can do their best with the secret word.

The Undaunted Duffer, EatGolf, Golf Punk were just a few of the other bloggers involved in the first running of Golf Blogger Survivor, and we’re ready for even more contestants this year.

First, for those of you that want to play, send me an e-mail to: heather(at)worldgolf (dot)com so I will have your e-mails to send your secret word.

Then starting on Monday, March 12, I will send everyone the secret word. Over the course of the next week, each competing blogger will have to get the secret word into a blog, and they will be judged by readers who feel they used the word the best.

For example, during Round 2 of the contest last year, the secret word was “speculum.” Here’s how The Golf Blogger handled it:

“Golf For Women Magazine and Golf Digest got out the speculum and the rubber glove and took a close look at the inner female and male golfer. The results of their survey on gender attitudes toward golf will be published in the March Golf Digest.

After everyone has a week to use the word (everyone will get the same word, but ssshhhh. It’s a secret) on the following Monday, I’ll send another word, and run a blog that highlights everyone’s usage of the word. Then over that week, everyone can place a vote for their favorite effort. This is where non-bloggers can participate, as their votes will also count. Voting criteria will include humor and ability to work the word best into the blog.

The contest will run three rounds, and then the Top-3 will have a one-word playoff blog. The winner will receive all the fame and glory that Golfchick can surely attest comes with winning such an exciting event.

So sign up now! Send me an e-mail and I’ll get you in the contest. I’ll have at least one more update before the first secret word, but feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail with any questions or if you just want to sign up. If you blog about golf, you’re eligible!

Golf Blogger Survivor II is here everyone! So now, more than ever, remember this:

Keep Blogging!!
